Chlorophyll-a concentration images were made from SeaWiFS L1A LAC data. The data were recieved in National University of Singapore from October 1997 to December 2003.
Water-leaving radiances were derived from SeaWIFS data after processing by atmospheric correction. The algorithm was modified by M. Toratani from NASA standard to correct absorptive aerosol and suspended matter effect.
Chlorophyll-a concentration was estimated from regional in-water algorithm developed by Matsumura and Siripong for Upper Gulf of Thailand.
Left side bar is color scale bar of chlorophyll-a concentration.
Chlorophyll-a concentration and sea surface temperature images were made from MODIS L0 LAC data. The L0 data were downloaded from NASA Ocean Color Web site (http://oceancolor.gsfc.nasa.gov). Chlorophyll-a concentration and sea surface temperature were derived from L0 data after atmospheric correction using SeaDAS software.

This DVD has chlorophyll-a concentration and sea surface temperature images and these hdf (Hierarchical Data Format ) files. The hdf file for SeaWiFS include chlorophyll-a concentration, Suspended matter concetration, inorganic suspended matter concentration and absorption of CDOM data. The hdf file for MODIS include chlorophyll-a concentration or sea surface temperature. If you want to read them, you have to use hdf utilities (ex. HDFLook, SeaDAS, NOeSYS ..etc. When you click on a chlorophyll-a or sea surface image, you can save hdf data file of that image on hard disk.
